HAPPY NEW YEAR!
So as you can imagine after almost three months of being a lazy sloth I haven't been doing much exercise. My daily activities range from having a shower and making myself toast. Normally I am super active fire spice monkey. Not quite, but I ran everyday, did two ballet classes every week, and I always found myself walking round Haddington like a lost cat. So today I turned on BBC Asian on my little new radio, and some proper CHOOOOOONS came on. I like a beat and there was some crazy beats going on here. My dad got up and started cutting some shapes around my room so "thats ma JAM!" I hollered and joined him whilst my mum sat in the corner close to combustion with the stress and anger that our crazy dancing was causing. Then things turned bad, real bad, THATS RIGHT LADIES AND GENTS, AH ONLY WENT AND PUT MA BACK OUT.
Here is my Year timeline, 2012 has been a pretty good year minus my minor blip which was getting cancer.
January
I didn't do much except revise for my prelims (what a nerd). So my favourite snap from this month is this cracker, my friend Iona McRae.

February
I didn't do that much in February either actually, the year was a bit of a slow starter. But I did go to my first rugby game! I can't even remember who was playing, Scotland was definitely one of them...
March
Hey I managed to get myself a column in the newspaper writing about bands! While I'm at it here is the link to my blog. http://rachelrobyns.wordpress.com/
April
is kind of a general one. Over 2012 I did over 75 hours on the radio practicing my bootay of trying to get work experience in order to eventually get a job at a radio station...RADIO 1. Oh is that me speaking out loud again? Anyway I interviewed loads of amazing bands. THE KIKS, from Edinburgh stand out the most the first reason that I interviewed them like 5 times and secondly because they are SO funny, I love these guys!
#monthekiks
May
I got a beautiful little puppy doggy called Taylor. And I revised my butt off for my highers and got 5 Highers A's and B's woo!
I spent way too much time in Haddington with Lindsay, Ben and Gavin the weirdo(JOKES GAV).

June
I went to the Scottish Fashion Awards with my sidekick Eilidh Watson. We gawked at celebrities all night, ate cake and I have a major eyelash malfunction. All in all I didn't get many interviews out of it but I did manage to interview Proudlock from Made In Chelsea and Des and Jenny from Capital FM and they let me come and watch them do their breakfast show one morning!
July
JULY WAS A GOOD MONTH. Firstly TITP happened. Which was seriously the best weekend, highlights being seeing Two Door Cinema Club, Florence and Nicki. But my main aim, challenge if you like was to be on camera, on someones shoulders, during Twin Atlantic's performance of "Free" in the chorus. GUESS WHAT. IT HAPPENED.
Secondly I was chosen to do a sponsored half marathon with Forth One and Romeo in Demand which I was over the moon with. So I started training then I hurt my knee, but I kept on running, and hurt my knee even more. Then I had to stop. Now I have a wee bit of a dodgy knee. But on the plus side I got to meet and run with Romeo and I was like, "Yo Romeo your the guy that made me want to be a radio presenter!"

Here is me looking what can only be described as ROUGH. I look like I am having a good time though. Big cheese.
August
August is when all the problem started. It began amazingly, I went to Spain with Laura Presly. It was amazing! My highlight of the year was sitting on the front of her boat as we like super speeded towards the sunset after like the best day in the sun. It was SO pretty and I remember it so well. Sometimes if I sit by the radiator, close my eyes, pour water on my feet, sit in a bikini, and listen to the sound of the waves it brings me back to that moment.
I got back from Spain and one day later I was meant to go to Greece on my own to stay with our family friends. I got up in the morning to go and I had this really funny anxious feeling about going. We drove half way to Glasgow and I told my mum I didn't want to go. Say hello to the best decision of the year.
We drove back, I went to sleep, I woke up and I had a temperature, I was throwing up, I was dizzy, my throat was on fiya. This is when all the nasties began I had tonsillitis for 3 weeks, I ended up in hospital which brings us too ...
September
On the 14th of September I moved into my flat at uni where I met Laura, Ruth, Emma, Beth and Bobbie. Here is me and Ruthy. And Laura and I.
I didn't feel particularly unwell in September but I didn't feel 100 %. Not going to lie, I didn't enjoy uni that much, I didn't expect to overly enjoy it, I found myself in bed most of the time bored out of my mind because my classes were only 9 hours a week.
This was the extent of the excitement at times.
October
On the 2nd of October I went to my haematologist for a check up and he announced that he was going to do a bone marrow on me. I can't even tell you how much this fuzzed up my brain and made me like a crazy ass mess for two weeks.
I had a flat party on the 13th of October which was fun and pretty convenient considering that three days later, little did i know i was going to be diagnosed with Cancer.
I seriously find it so weird how only THREE days before I was being pushed about in a trolley around my uni, having so much fun with all my friends then BAM.

This is me on the day I got told and Iona Sethi and Rose McRae came and cheered me up. LOVE YOUS.
On the 17th I was admitted to hospital for 5 weeks.
November
I was bored until YAY on the 29th I was put into REMISSION 44 days after being diagnosed.
December
I was bored, visitors have thinned out slightly but I had a great Christmas with my family!
